The Last Day of Summer is a movie that had me absolutely glued from start to finish, so I had to have a positive review. The film is filmed with a retro-style camera and some very dark colours. The cinematography is amazing, the animation of this film is unlike any other movie that I have seen. The story is interesting and a little unpredictable. The tone of the story is very much like a mini-fantasy, which can be a great idea for a movie. The only gripe I have with this film is that it had a very slow start that made it a little boring, but it didn't take long for this to all make sense. The narrative starts to move a lot faster the more you watch it. The story moves a little slow in the beginning, but once it gets into a groove, the story becomes very interesting. The acting is great, and it's a movie that I actually really enjoyed. An absolute pleasure to watch. The Last Day of Summer is a great movie and should not be missed. 9/10

The characters in this movie are all extremely forgettable, even the main character Luke Malloy who appears to be the main focus of the story. I really disliked the way the movie portrayed his character. Although i did not enjoy this movie, it made me reflect on the idea of how it feels to live during a constantly repeating period of time. I'm sure there are hundreds of people who can relate to this concept. Kudos to the cinematographer, the setting and the effects. Rated this 3/10

Amazing movie. The opening sequence is very cool. The story is good, interesting and I like the characters. There are not many film that can be described as a mini-fantasy, and this is one of them. The acting is great, the story is interesting and the characters are well defined. The cinematography is very well done and I love the retro style of this film. 9/10

In the summer of 2001, there’s two kids who wish that Summer will never end, one of them being Luke Malloy. Unfortunately, that wish comes true. And who can help Luke while he is stuck in the same Summer over and over again?I always try to avoid these movie where the main character experiences the same day over and over again, however I was surprised to know that I enjoyed this one. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen before, but at the same time it reminded me of Groundhog Day. The movie was hilarious and had a very interesting premise. Even though there’s no good or bad actors in this movie, the story was unique and the concept was quite interesting.
