There are some Gentoo men, who, calling them the taylors of the great Mogul ladies, whilst attending to the business of their own families, are withal, perhaps, the authors of the most gallant music of the East; because the ladies not only employ them to take a part in their performances, when they have a fancy to compose or play, and though their play is frequently of a very simple nature and far from brilliant, yet is it grand and enlivening with that simplicity, which a heart sustained by tortured genius could not fail to feel. d2c66b5586
