In this Bible Inspired Art Journal I explored and captured the symbolism of the birds using both loose and haded watercolour techniques. What I really want to share with you is how so much of our lives really falls in line with a rhythm of heaven. As Christians we are created in the image and likeness of God. Our lives should follow a rhythm that keeps us close to God.

The "Dutch Blue" is that shade of blue that used by Rembrandt and a great big movement in the UK of the 30's and 40's. Seeing this spectrum of hues had been enrapturing to me for the last few years. Now I have decided to experiment with all kinds of tones of grey. I love that when you add a bit of taupe to a cool grey the swatch looks warm, and the other way round. With this in mind I imagined a landscape for the Dutch Blue effect.

Landscape: This is dedicated to the Bossier City Parks Department. For a full year they have been working on a half mill renovation of Sterret Park. This view is from the top of the renovated streem bridge. The whole park is now impressive to look at. In April I met with Pam Holloway and got the layout for the painting. d2c66b5586
